Once you’ve found a job, it’s very important to keep it. Being conscientious well turned out and professional, are skills that will take you very far in your career.
There can be lots of “politics” in the work place. Getting involved in the office games or gossip might seem like fun, but could get you branded as a trouble-maker or unreliable. Take your career seriously, even if your first job seems a bit boring, you will be amassing skills that will help you get closer to the sort of work you eventually want to do. Even if you think what you are doing is dead-end, you’d be surprised at the transferable skills you will be learning.
