Volunteering

Doing stuff to help other people can be incredibly rewarding and shows how we do have something to offer others. Making ourselves feel good shouldn’t be the main reason for helping someone else, but it’s an important perk. In order to stay committed it’s a good idea to help with a project we’re interested in. We can help a mate if they’ve got a problem, give to charity or do voluntary work.

Also we can gain valuable and transferable skills through volunteering that can help in the future towards finding paid employment.  Always include any volunteer work you have done in your CV.  Potential employers value voluntary work as much if not more as your paid work experience.  It also demonstrates your commitment.
