Getting skin cancer is probably not something that most blokes worry about, looking good and having a glowing tan to show off the pecs seems more important.
Unfortunately though the incidence of skin cancer is increasing, as a result of more foreign travel and climate change. Most of the damage is caused when you are young, yet most of it is avoidable by taking a few simple steps.

Also don’t use sun beds, be aware of moles that change colour, shape, size and if you notice any changes see your GP.
Take particular care if you work outdoors e.g on a building site. Always cover up in the sun and put on sunscreen.
It may make you feel macho to work with your top off, but you won’t feel so cool if you go on to develop malignant melanoma.
